NASCAR legend Kyle Petty and his wife Pattie founded Victory Junction five years ago in Randleman, North Carolina, in honor of their son Adam, who died in a racing accident in 2000. Since opening in 2004, the North Carolina camp has changed the lives of more than 10,000 children and their families.
Victory Junction enriches the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment.
With demand for the North Carolina camp exceeding capacity, the Pettys decided to extend Victory Junction’s reach by establishing a second camp, choosing Kansas City, Kansas based on its central location, and the giving hearts of the people in the Midwest.
